ECAD2PDM Overview
When developing a product, Electronic Engineers need the ability to quickly access component information. Often design teams replicate part creation as component libraries are not centrally stored or managed. This causes parts to be out of sync, obsolete or using the wrong attribute data. This can lead to PCB's being populated with the wrong components causing product failures.
ECAD2PDM allows engineers to store, search and add components from a managed component database. This can be locally or over a corporate network. Electronic Engineers need the ability to quickly access accurate component information. ECAD2PDM is a component data-managment solution that works with Mentor Graphics PADS Logic & DxDesigner.
